Путин в Палестине. Поездка российского лидера на ближний восток.

В программе пребывания предусмотрена встреча Президента России и Махмуда Аббаса. Основной вопрос переговоров – ближневосточное урегулирование. Помимо этого будут обсуждаться совместные проекты по восстановлению экономики палестинских территорий.
Владимир Путин прибыл в Палестинскую автономию. Там он проведет переговоры с главой Махмудом Аббасом. Как сообщил помощник президента России Сергей Приходько, в ходе встречи Путина и Аббаса будет обсуждаться палестино-израильское урегулирование. Кроме этого разговор пойдет и об инициативе России провести осенью в Москве международную конференцию по палестино-израильскому конфликту. Во время посещения Палестины Владимир Путин возложит венок к могиле Ясира Арафата, который несколько десятилетий был лидером палестинского народа.

Двусторонняя встреча Владимира Путина и Махмуда Аббаса продолжается дольше, чем было запланировано. В начале переговоров президент России высказал мнение, что сейчас складывается ситуация, когда палестинский народ “получил реальный шанс выхода на решение проблемы”. “Мы должны предпринять дополнительные усилия, чтобы поддержать вас и палестинский народ”, – сказал Путин. “Я привез вам не только самые наилучшие пожелания от народа России, но и привет от президента Египта и от премьер-министра Израиля Ариэля Шарона, с которым я встречался вчера”, – добавил президент.
Президент России Владимир Путин выразил удовлетворение итогами поездки на Ближний Восток. “Работа в таком важном и близком к нашим границам регионе мира крайне важна”, – заявил глава российского государства. Он подчеркнул, что “мы крайне удовлетворены тем, как шли дискуссии в Каире, Израиле, Рамалле”. Путин считает, что “конечная цель” процесса на Ближнем Востоке “остается неизменной”. Это – “создание независимого палестинского государства, живущего в мире с Израилем”.
